FAQ – Boat Wrapping & Yacht Wrapping (Exterior & Interior)
What is yacht wrapping or boat wrapping?
Yacht wrapping and boat wrapping mean covering hulls, superstructures or interiors with premium marine-grade vinyl. The result: a new look, long-lasting surface protection and minimal downtime – ideal in Hamburg, Kiel, North & Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean (Mallorca, Sardinia, Côte d’Azur).
What are the benefits of vinyl wrapping compared to painting?
Up to 50–70% more cost-effective, short installation time (often just a few days), fully removable, huge design variety, protection for gelcoat and paint. Perfect for active charter yachts.
How long does a boat wrap last?
Depending on usage and care: 7–10 years outdoors, often longer indoors. Marine films are UV-stable, saltwater- and cleaning-resistant.
How quickly is my yacht ready to use again?
Very quickly: wrapping is a dry process – the yacht is ready immediately after installation. A 12–15 m hull can often be wrapped within just a few days.
Can the yacht interior also be wrapped?
Yes. Interior wrapping with wood, stone, leather, metal or textile looks is perfect for furniture, walls, ceilings, doors and bathrooms. A clean, modern upgrade without dust or strong odors.
Is vinyl suitable for hull wrapping (exterior)?
Yes. Hull wrapping provides a seamless, high-quality finish, protects the substrate and can be updated or changed anytime – without long shipyard downtime as with painting.
What finishes and effects are available?
Over 300 options: high-gloss, satin, matte, metallic, pearlescent, carbon fiber, wood, marble, stone. Also stripes, custom graphics and full wraps.
How much does yacht wrapping cost?
Depends on size, hull height, condition and design. For 12–15 m yachts, a full hull wrap usually ranges in the mid four-figure to low five-figure budget. Interiors are calculated by surface area and chosen finish.
How do I maintain wrapped surfaces?
Rinse with fresh water, use pH-neutral boat shampoos and soft cloths. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes. This keeps the wrap in top condition for years.
Where do you offer boat & yacht wrapping?
Germany (Hamburg, Lübeck, Kiel, Bremen, Baltic & North Sea) and across the Mediterranean (Mallorca, Ibiza, Côte d’Azur, Sardinia, Greece). Mobile teams and shipyard partnerships available.
